In a press release issued today, Overture Films and Paramount Vantage announced that Oscar-winner Michael Moore’s new documentary feature, described as an exploration of the current global financial crisis and "a comical lookat the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in whatMoore has described as ‘the biggest robbery in the history of thiscountry,’ the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions," will be released on October 2, 2009 — a date, they note, that comes a year and a day after the U.S.Senate voted for Wall Street’s $700 billion bailout.
