The CW will announce tomorrow that it is airing the reboot of Melrose Place after 90210 on Tuesday nights next season, sources confirm. If this is causing a case of deja vu, here’s why: The original Melrose was unveiled in the time slot following Beverly Hills, 90210 way back in 1992. The network will also move Smallville from Thursday to Friday this fall to make room for the new drama Vampire Diaries.

sad sad sad …. i had always hated those two shows! and I hate the remake of 90210 … After you ended my show with Joanna Garcia!!! I hope you fail at everything CW
Wow…. Smallville on Friday? They sure don’t pay attention do they? I guess they want to go ahead and kill Smallville off. It’s so funny how these big programmer types don’t get it. The people they want to watch Smallville isn’t home on Friday night. They are at high school football games or basketball games. They go to movies or hang out at parties. This show is DOA. I was guessing it was the last season anyway. Bye Bye Smallville. Friday is the kiss of death.

Smallville to Fridays might really kill this show.

Ok I’m all for Vampire diaries and I don’t really watch Smallville…but seriously Smallville on Friday??? Isn’t that like the highest rated show on the CW??
ARe the trying to shut down CW??
Umm, CW, you are insane for moving Smallville from Thursday to Friday, i can not believe this move, well i guess you really don’t care for Smallville anymore and that makes me a tad mad. I hope this doesn’t have writing on the wall already that they want Smallville to be done. I don’t get it. Well fans, what do you think about this shocking move?
Smallville on Friday, this has to be a joke! Right???
guess after that bomb of a season finale, smallville is being punished.
cw has a friday night lineup???
Smalville to Fridays-Thats a mistake as it still the networks highest rated scripted show. I’ll DVR it. The 90210 and Melrose teaming is smart. I wonder what the production budgets are on the CW programming?

After that horrid finale, just cancel Smallville!
It would be a smarted move to pair 90210 with GG on Mondays and just have a trashy teen night. Place OTH on Tuesdays with MP and have a young adult night. I get that the new Vampire show will go great with SN on thursdays, but they have a winning formula Smallvile/SN thursdays. It may be wiser to place vampire diaries on Friday nights and let it build its own audience and have some comedies be its lead in. And for the record, 90210 has gotten so damn good I can’t even believe its the same show from last fall. Last nights season finale was more entertaining than GG. I hate to say it but its true.
I would rather see Smallville carry the CW’s Sunday night line-up then hear they’re moving it to Fridays where it will not only may be up against the likes of two of my other favorite shows, either Ugly Betty or Dollhouse. Come on CW. Wake up!!! You are going to seriously run syndicated programming on Sunday rather than deal with football in the fall or ABC’s Sunday night line-up!? As a NON sports fan, I assure you, if you built a sunday night around Smallville, and take the risk it could pay off for you. Instead you’re going to let a flagship show DIE on Fridays!? SO SAD. This after watching the American Idol upset tonight is just too disappointing…
i like 90210 significantly more than my heterosexuality suggests
