Fringe costar Kirk Acevedo has announced via his Facebook status update that he’s apparently been let go from the Fox drama. "WELL BOYS AND GIRLS THEY DONE DID YER BOY WRONG! THEY FIRED ME OFF OF FRINGE, AND IVE NEVER BEEN FIRED IN MY LIFE!!!!" he wrote. The news was first reported by the blog ohnotheydidn’t. Acevedo played Agent Charlie Francis on the show, which just aired its season finale.

WTH?! I thought he did a great job.
This sucks! The show was looking so good, and moving to Thursdays looked like a bold move.
Sure this may not be a HUGE lost (like as if Peter,Walter or Olivia would leave), but losing a key member of the cast can be dangerous for momentum.

It won’t matter. Fox put “Fringe” in the death slot on Thursday nights so it will get cancelled soon anyway. Shame, its such a good show too.

I can’t say Charlie really contributed much to the show, so this isn’t a big loss. Still, getting fired always sucks. Maybe they’ll bring in a more interesting character to replace him.

Agent Francis was crucial to the show! one of the reasons I watched, this is f-up to say the least. I’m not happy.

That’s weird. His character is not central, but someone has to serve that function of being Olivia’s liaison to what is happening in the FBI. Maybe they wanted to cut budget and get someone they could pay less, or they wanted to get rid of the minorities (watch Astrid kick the bucket next!)
I have said this and I will say it again, if there is one thing FOX is good at is that they always eff it up. ‘Nuff Said!
hey that sucks. I’m not an actor but I got fired for BS last week myself. Honestly though, I always thought he could do better. Even on Black Donnellys, which had like twice the cast he had more of a part.

I liked the work relationship between Charlie and Olivia. Bummer…..
“Oh no they didn’t” is right! This may sound weird but Charlie was my favorite character on the show! Hopefully they’ll still bring him back as a recurring character, though it sounds like they didn’t part on the best of terms.
