Frank McCourt, the 78-year-old author of Angela’s Ashes, is currently undergoing treatment for melanoma, his publicist confirmed today. The Pulitzer Prize winner’s brother Malachy reported that Frank’s skin cancer is now in remission and that "he’s survived worse than this." According to his agent, Molly Friedrich, McCourt is "doing pretty well" at home after spending time in the hospital, and is currently receiving chemotherapy.
