'Twilight': Robert Pattinson committed to 'Breaking Dawn'

Tags: ,

Robert Pattinson has confirmed that he’ll star in Breaking Dawn, the fourth movie in the Twilight franchise — he just doesn’t know when. In Cannes, before heading to Italy to shoot the final four days on New Moon, the actor told The Hollywood Reporter that Summit Entertainment hasn’t been able to set a start date for the final film because of his busy schedule. His plate includes shooting a romantic drama for the studio, Remember Me (formerly known as Memoirs); then wrapping the third Twilight film, Eclipse, this fall; and then joining Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz on the set of Madeleine Stowe’s directorial debut, Unbound Captives, perhaps as early as year’s end.

Not surprised, he’ll make time if he has to, you don’t turn down the series that made him a heartthrob overnight

that’s great. i’m not surprised, and i’m sure most people won’t be surprised by that either. what the saga really needs is a new screenwriter. now THAT would be news.

I’m soooo excited about this! The saga just wouldn’t be complete without Breaking Dawn. Its not perfect, but nevertheless its still a BEAUTIFUL story. I can’t WAIT to see it onscreen :)

I am super excited about this! Breakign Dawn was one of the better books, ok the last portion of Breaking Dawn was excellent, the first two thirds was not great but that last third was AWESOME! I am super excited about this movie.

Hey they already announced the screenplay isn’t even started yet, it’s not like he doesn’t have a little time to play with before they start shooting anyway. It’ll all work it. It’s still a lot faster than most series come out, anyway.

Please no. This will be a horrible movie. Please Robert Pattinson, save yourself (and your career) and be too busy to ever make this movie. Stop at Eclipse!!

  • Emma

Get as much clout and good film experience as you can beforehand, Rob. You’ll need it for when the vampiric C-section scene is loosed upon the unsuspecting world.

oh well, i was hoping they WEREN’T going to do breaking dawn. sorry but that book by far was the worst of the series. it completely ruined the entire story for me; first 3 books i couldn’t put down. breaking dawn, i couldn’t even bear to read more than a page at a time.. and that’s even after i skipped over a bunch. it dragged, it did not flow and the characterizations did not follow through AT ALL. plus demon baby. sorry, i’m babbling, but i was so angry that the characters i had fallen in love with were completely ruined in the end. i hope that when they turn it into a movie, they change things around to make it bearable and not so ridiculous.

wow that is a very busy schedule..

I am so glad that Rob is going to star in Breaking Dawn. I know that he and Kristen are just friends but they truly are soul mates. The movie is about family, love, hope, commitment and Edward is a hero to kids. His circumstances in life where to be in a direction he did not choose. Rob plays the piano, writes music and acts. He is a wonderful human being. When I read the Saga for the 3rd time I imagine Rob and Kristen in the books. I picture them. I have never been consumed with a story as this. It gives hope to those who watch it. I can’t wait for the rest of the movies to come out. Stephenie Meyers books are so visual it makes you feel like your really there. I can’t put them down. My children have read all 4 books and we watch the movie weekly. I do hope that in the end Rob and Kristen realize they are meant for each other. I am 53 and they have become a part of my life. I have mothers, grandmothers asking me about the books, when I am through they too read them. It is a phenonemon!
