CNN reports that Atlanta-based rapper Dolla (né Roderick Anthony Burton II), 21, was shot and killed outside of Los Angeles’ Beverly Center shopping mall just after 3 p.m. PDT on Monday. On Tuesday morning, the Los Angeles Times reported Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, of Georgia, was arrested on suspicion of murder at Los Angeles International Airport, and was being held on $1 million bail.
The shooting reportedly occurred during a group melee, possibly also involving a knife. Dolla is perhaps best known for the single "Feelin’ Myself," which was featured in the 2006 dance film Step Up.
A rapper killed by gun violence, no one could every have seen this coming.
Yeah, its such a shame. Now the LAPD will have one less very talented artist whose new works they can enjoy during their many meditation sessions.

I really can’t believe the ignornace of people in this country. I grew up in an all African American community and I can say one thing African American’s are true friends until the end. They will stand beside their friends be it white, black, hispanic etc when others will not. Get a life people. He was a human being NOT an animal. He has a family that is grieving right now. SHOW SOME DAMN COMPASSION!!! I suppose white’s don’t murder people, no they do it just doesn’t make national news. The color of someone’s skin doesn’t make the person. Don’t let those guys make you mad. They say those things just to hear you scream. They think its funny. But the guy did die because of the company he kept and the life he led. It’s bad that he died but that’s the life he chose. He has no one to blame but himself and his “friends”.
