Despite rumors spreading rapidly this morning, actor Patrick Swayze has not died. "This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida," his publicist said in a statement. "Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment." Swayze, 56, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in January 2008. In July of that year, he began working 12-hour days, while undergoing chemotherapy, on the A&E drama series The Beast. The show debuted in January 2009. The season finale aired last month.

That just sad.
I am glad that Patrick is doing well, my hopes and prayers are with him and his family.
prayers are going out for Patrick. He’s a fantastic actor, and I, along with many others, am saddened of his illness.
How he is still alive is unbelievable because very few people with pancreatic cancer dont last longer than 12 months and reports saying he is well and responding to treatment are complete fantasy because there is no treatment or cure for the condition. He was diagnosed before my mum and she died last september after fighting it for 10 months. For someone with pancreatic cancer to survive well over a year like Swayze has is unheard of.

This must be a definition of “well” that I’m not acquainted with.
Oh thank God. It is gonna break my heart when he goes. I grew up watching his movies.
I really hope he is ok and continues to respond to treatment. I really wish the tabloids would leave him alone, if I see another awful picture and headline of him in the grocery checkout, I’m going to scream.
Patrick is an inspiration to us all. I loved “next of kin”. I wish him well and continue to pray for him.
MEMORABLE ROLES
Dirty Dancing into our hearts
Intense emotion you put into every part
A talented actor, singer, and dancer
But now diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
Playing memorable roles throughout your career
Especially in Ghost when you brought everyone to tears
Many different characters you have played
On the big screen, small screen, and Broadway
With family, friends, and fans supporting you
Their love and caring will get you through.

The TV Guide website is now casting doubt about whether there even was a radio station that made the original report. This could all be a concoction of the blogosphere and the Twitterverse. Of course, the legitimate media will continue to be blamed. That’s the fashionable thing to do.
God bless you Patrick..We are all praying for you..we love you.
One thing for sure you cannot believe everything you hear. Farah Fawcett has been on her death bed and dying for weeks but then you hear she watched the special on her last week. I wish her well and it’s the media who keeps digging up these stupid reports.
I just want to let these radio stations and media that continue to publish that buddy has passed away before time. This is in no way acceptable they should confirm their information before saying these horrible things. He and his family are going thru a tough enough time without having to dispell rumors everytime they turn around. Leave them alone give them some peace of mind. As someone who works w/cancer patients on a daily basis it is hard enough to keep staying positive knowing that you may not be here another year or two. stop being so insensitive and let them have their peace. And to Patrick and his family
keep strong and know that you and your family are in your fans prayers everyday. Enjoy your precious time together and don’t let anyone take that away.. God bless
i believe old patrick swayze, who has always been one of my most honored and admired actors, is on his last leg. i believe, unfortunately, he’s about ready to cash in. it was nice knowing him.
