Land of the Lost star Will Ferrell and Pearl Jam will be Conan O’Brien’s first guests when he takes over the reins of The Tonight Show from Jay Leno, NBC announced today. O’Brien’s debut is scheduled for June 1.

I can’t wait to see Conan again!
I hope Conan isn’t going to get all the weird obscure college bands he always had on Late Night or I’ll be switching to David Letterman.
Susan, of course Conan’s going to have to have more mainstream musical guests now that he’s sitting behind the Tonight Show desk, but let’s hope he still has good musical acts on, and not solely the latest Jonas/Miley/Duff/Katy Perry/American Idol nonsense act, which it what it seems like you’d prefer. Although be careful: Letterman recently had on Neko Case, and Modest Mouse was on his show just a few days ago, and those sure are some scary, “obscure” college bands! Watch out! They might make you think about something when you’re listening! OOOooOOOoooooo!
