This morning on the Today show, Farrah Fawcett’s longtime partner Ryan O’Neal said that they’re filming more footage for a follow-up to Farrah’s Story, last Friday’s documentary on NBC that chronicled the Charlie’s Angels star’s fight with cancer and premiered to nearly 9 million viewers, according to a report on MSN. "We haven’t stopped filming," O’Neal said via telephone from his home, "and we’re going to make a second installment on her life." O’Neal, along with Fawcett’s best friend and documentary collaborator Alana Stewart, added that Farrah watched the documentary at home and was revived by it. “Whenwe began watching it Friday night, she had [a] very low pulse,” O’Neal told Today host Meredith Vieira. O’Neal claims Fawcett’s pulse got stronger during the airing until it was fully normal. “It kept going up and up and up,” O’Neal said. “It was wonderful…We’re going to have to show her one of her films every night.”

Thank you so much for sharing your story. It really sheds light on this nasty disease. I never knew about all the different stages. You are such an inspiration. Umm…why do I care? It’s a tragedy when anyone dies of cancer, but I think I’d be sadder if my son’s kindergarten teacher died of cancer than if Farah Fawcet died of cancer. I think I’d care more if my daughter’s friend’s mother died of cancer than if Ryan O’Neil’s long-time companion died of cancer. She couldn’t act and neither could he. Why do I care?

Farrah is a brave and inspiring woman to share her experiences in battling this horrible disease. Cancer is heartbreaking. No one should have to go thru this and when its a celebrity that puts a face to the disease that can afford the best in care from all over the world and still is not enough to give her a qualify of life that everyone deserves.
To the guy who says who cares? If you are a human being you should. You should care about anyone who is suffering. Farrah is a beautiful, sweet lady, and I have been praying for you, and anyone else that I know is sick. I am sorry you are going through this, and I am praying for a miracle. I also pray for your family.
While I’m not a fan of the first show, which I found exploitative and unenlightening, though certainly gut-wrenching, I think I understand why we’ll be seeing a sequel. Farrah’s partner in her production company, Craig Nevius, has filed a lawsuit stating that Farrah’s ultimate goal of educating the public was not served by the “documentary” taken over by Ryan O’Neal, who was suddenly a star. He makes some very cogent points in the articles I’ve read, and was obviously a great friend to Farrah. Ryan’s just covering his ass.
To “Tom L.” comment: It is sad that anyone dies from any kind of cancer, be it your kids kindergarten teacher of a beauty hollywood star as Farrah Fawcett is, Sir. Farrah has already established “Farrah’s law” as of recent and it is now law, read up on her brave fight. Maybe brave people like Farrah will bring more attention to the disease for a cure and awareness so that people like you won’t die of cancer with early detection and with wonderful doctors and research scientists finding a cure. Please people write your Congress to stop socialized medicine so that Americans can still get the best care in the world.
