During a rally for gay rights in New York City over the weekend, Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon announced she is engaged to girlfriend Christine Marinoni, according to a report by E! News. At the rally, which was held to draw support for same-sex unions in New York state, Nixon revealed she became engaged last month. The couple has been together since late 2003. Nixon and her Sex and the City compatriots — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis — are set to begin filming the sequel to the big-screen smash later this summer.

In the photo, Nixon’s partner is dressed like a man. Could someone in the know educate me on why a woman would want to look like a man? Just asking.

Since when do looks have ANYTHING to do with a person’s character? Get over yourselves, people. Cynthia Nixon obviously knows how to choose people based on their hearts, not their looks. Good for her! I wish them both happiness.
Serena: Maybe Christine wants to dress in far more comfortable clothes than Cynthia. Can you blame her? SerenaZ, Cynthia Nixon gave an interview to a NY newspaper about her girlfriend. She bought her a shirt one time and she did not like it. Cynthia mentioned her girlfriend does not wear women clothing at all. I guess it is a choice. It is a preference not because she is a lesbian though. My friend is straight and she hates dresses and anything girly. She actually got married i15 years ago in a gorgeous Armani cream pants suit and now has twin daughters. Personally, I think Christina looks more like a man than a woman BUT..I do wish them happiness
Good for them! I am so tired of hearing from the self-righteous about who/what/where/why we are/aren’t supposed to live our own lives. I chose to leave the christian church 35 years ago and I do not need those hypocrites telling me how to live my life. And I’m a straight southerner but I defend my gay friends. They hurt no others, unlike those who would pass judgement.
