In a weekend filled with the broadcast networks furiously renewing shows and greenlighting new fall series, Variety is reporting that CBS, which will officially unveil its fall 2009 line-up on Wednesday in New York City, has given the OK to five new dramas: The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies; Three Rivers, starring Moonlight alum Alex O’Loughlin; medical drama Miami Trauma starring Jeremy Northam; an untitled drama about U.S. Attorneys; and the much-anticipated NCIS spin-off starring Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J. On the comedy side, Accidentally on Purpose, starring Jenna Elfman, is also expected to get the go ahead when the schedule is announced.

AL-EX! AL-EX! AL-EX!
Fingers crossed for Three Rivers.
Damn! I’m loving the NCIS spinoff but Miami Trauma and The Good Wife will fail. They should have ordered Washington Field to series. That’s be a better chance at a lasting hit. Plus the pilot cost them enough to make with all the explosions and car wrecks they filmed in DC a few months ago
Only 2 days stay so that CBS confirms what we all hope, “Three Rivers” with Alex O’Loughlin is it going to be finally approved. We all support to you Alex! GO ON!!!
Three Rivers is also starring Daniel Henney which is a huge deal to anyone who knows who he is. He’s a huge star in Korea and was even just in Wolverine.

I didn’t see much of anything special for the NCIS spin-off, it only did well in the ratings for NCIS fans tuning in for Gibbs. I doubt it will do well on its own. I might watch the first few episodes to see if it is any better, but if Chris O’Donnel’s character is really dead than I’m tuning out, his character was the only interesting one. I’m also convinced Lous Lombard can only play one character, her clothing, manner and style are exactly like Sofia Curtis from CSI, that was just weird.
Fingers are crossed for Alex and Three Rivers – this sure sounds positive!! Waiting anxiously for official word on Wednesday – can’t wait to see Alex back on our tv screens weekly, as well as in The Back Up Plan!!
Whooo-Hoo, Three Rivers with dreamy Alex, yummmmmmmy!!! With Alex in it, Three Rivers should be good. Big Kissy Kiss to him with a huggy-hug. Been watching raw video footage of Alex filming “Back-Up Plan” with Jennifer Lopez online. Film will be out early 2010. He is so hot.
I keep my fingers crossed for Three Rivers being picked up by CBS. Go Alex!!!
Yeah – Kate moennig – three rivers – happy dance
It bothers me a bit that CBS is adding two medical dramas. My preference would be to give Three Rivers a fair shake. Why not throw the entire network behind this show to insure its success rather than diluting its appeal by offering two NEW medical dramas on the same network. Come on CBS, give Three Rivers full support and help insure its success and multiple seasons.
GO ALEX
Alex O’Loughlin combines fantastic handsomeness with a sharp mind, empathy, versatility and a wonderful sense of humor. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that CBS picks THREE RIVERS for Fall 09.
I am so happy that Three Rivers has been chosen for this fall – I knew that it would be. If Alex O’Loughlin is in it, it has to be fantastic!
