Nearly a week after Paulia Porizkova revealed that she was fired from her job as a judge on America’s Next Top Model, executive producer Ken Mok issued a statement essentially confirming Porizkova’s assertion that Mok and fellow exec producer Tyra Banks let Porizkova go because the show had "gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me." Said Mok: "The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cutsindustry wide; and America’s Next Top Model is not immune to these financiallychallenging times. We’ve had to make significant cuts in every area of theproduction and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts. Tyra, whopursued Paulina to join the show as a judge multiple times, was incrediblysaddened by the decision the show was forced to make. We really enjoyed workingwith Paulina, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

that’s a shame. I really liked her outspokenness and she normally had something interesting to say. Maybe now Jay Manuel can sit at the judges table though!
Why not save some money by reducing the airtime of Miss Jay? Decent runway coach, sure. Absolutely useless and completely annoying as a judge.
I’ll be sad to see Paulina go. She was almost the voice of reason on that show. I do wish Miss Jay was dumped because he contributes nothing to the judges panel. That said, the dude sure can walk.
But if it is about salary, I assume that Paulina’s salary was much higher than either of the Jay’s. Somehow I’ve got to think that it is not just salary and cost cutting, though. Maybe the next cycle instead of fancy digs in New York and Brazil, the girls can share 3 rooms at a HoJo in Des Moines?

i am so relieved that paulina is gone cause she doesnt belong to that absurd pathetic modelling contest judged by incompetent people especially nigel barker that’s why he is still a noted photographer not even famous! miss jay is funny but i dont get it why he is called a runway diva when his walk is so 80s and so draggy! jay manuel from being just a hair and make up artist becomes a creative shoot director??? cant you see how dreadful he dresses? that’s why he’s on the worst dressed list! tyra is so no good either. trying to break the typical model type??? is she for real? what planet does she comes from? i pity those girls who have big futures in modelling but being sent home and the winners are mostly a big joke! except for yohoanna, nicole and mckee!

I was shocked and saddened when Twiggy left the show and then excited to see that Paulina was taking her place. It was a shock to read that Paulina was removed from the show. I wish her luck and best wishes. I cannot wait for the next season. I wish that you could do some sort of reunion show of past models, not just the winners but all who was on the previous seasons to see what they are doing now. Again, best wishes to Paulina.
