  • Susan

Congratulations to the happy mothers! (and a good thing they wed before November)

Those poor kids are going to need so many years of therapy. What ridiculous, selfish people.

  • James

Really, Janet? Years of therapy? I don’t know what kind of parenting you’re thinking about but all the gay couples I know have avoided this with some simple teaching youvneed to listen to. ‘Parents are people who love their child and look after them. Some kids have a Mom and a Dad, some two Moms or two Dads. Sometimes Moms and Dads look after the kids on their own.’ it’s not a difficult lesson to learn, and I don’t know about the USA, but here in the UK it’s been quite easy to learn, and people try to respect, for the most part. Surely love and respect ar the only family values we need?

  • Poor kids

Poor kids I feel soory they were put into such a home.
I find it hilarious that people will say after they have been married they are now “gay” as Sykes has done. It just goes to show the lifestyle IS one that’s chosen.

Congratulations to the happy family. Wanda will be a great no nonsense kind of mom, I wish them all the best.

I want to know what makes you people say “Poor kids”. There is nothing wrong with a homosexual couple having and raising children. Children that are raised by gay couples don’t turn out any worse than children with straight parents. This is 2009, quit being so closed-minded and judgemental!

    Congrats ! I love Wanda!

A family is the people who love and care for you, whomever they are. Their gender doesn’t matter. “YOU people” who refuse to understand that are clearly ignorant as demonstrated by your vulgar “dix” references.
If you think those children are “nothing” to Ms Sykes, do you consider adoptive parents the same? are those families “fake”? No. No family who cares for each other is “fake”.
Nothing in MY love or marriage affects anyone but ME and my wife – our family. You don’t need to defend yourselves from it, because it does not attack you.
You all claim your g-d is perfect – well if that’s who made everything then I guess there’s nothing wrong with how I (and countless millions of others) were made.
Try to live your own life well & let others do the same without your denigrating comments, prejudice and hatred.

Nothin but love for Wanda. Congrats!

At my previous place of work,I dealt with a massively obese guy who whined&complained about paying child support for the kids he fathered. Another coworker robbed the nursing home kitchen, was doing drugs, and screamed obscenities at her kindergarten-aged daughter.
It was the African-American lesbian and her white girlfriend of a decade who were doing a MUCH better job of raising their son than those heterosexuals.
Being straight doesn’t make one a capable or compassionate parent.

I am so very happy for Wanda and Alex and the birth of 2 healthy children. It is the very same small minded ignorant thoughts, comments and statements that make the rest of us trying to live life on lifes terms stronger, smarter, faster – if it doesn’t directly effect you – mind your business. May God protect us all from ignorance
