Shame if it doesn’t make it. Really enjoy the show.

I really liked the first season. This season, though, has completely squandered the show’s potential. I went from really looking forward to each new episode to not caring at all this season. This isn’t helped by the fact that the momentum from the arc at the end of the first season all but completely disappeared, and Sock gets more and more annoying. To be honest, it’s become a chore to watch and I won’t really miss it if it isn’t renewed.

I think that the writting and acting in Reaper is pretty good. The fact that this program is on network television instead of a cable premium channel is sucking all of the creativity out of this show.

it gets more ratings than 90210 and maybe 200 thousand less than gossip girl. i dont get the whole ratings challenge thing.

I hope they make it happen. I enjoyed the 1st season, but the current season has been so much fun that I really look forward to the show every week. It’s so clever and the characters are great. “Reaper” deserves another season.

My guess is that it doesn’t get the right kind of ratings – i.e., disposable tweens with disposable money. People who enjoy well-written intelligent shows apparently are much better at ignoring advertisers.

I really wish this show would go to cable, where it would probably get a good budget and the attention it deserves. I agree that it is a lot of fun, and I too look forward to it every week. It’s unfortunate that Tyler is caught in the crossfire–as much as I support him in his career his portrayal of Sock is one of the show’s key ingredients. I want to see the show continue but with him in it, rather than no Sock (or worse, someone else taking over the role). Tyler, my heart goes out to you!

I enjoy it, though this season is a little uneven. I would have thought since the show was presumed to be doomed, we might have more of the Sam’s destiny episodes. I was sad to see Morgan go, though I assume he will be back. But it would mean the show has to do less slapstick. As much as a liked Sock, he is getting really annoying and unnecessary. As least Ben knows something about what Sam is dealing with and Nina is a good addition.

C’mon, this is a very entertaining show. Yeah, they could be a little more consistent in balancing the humorous with the serious but this really deserves to stay on the air.

Only 12 comments about this article? Are these the 12 people who watch this show? Once upon a time Reaper had a creative premise, but is now nothing more than the perverted antics of Sock with a little bit of gay propaganda and a touch of Sam and friends thrown in. Call it quits Reaper. It’s over.

Reaper is one of the best shows on TV. Such a shame it’s getting the boot. Sock seems the kind of guy that would be an awesome buddy to have, and the rest of the cast (no love for Ray Wise?!) is phenomenal.
It’s too smart for the CW. Send it to the Sci-Fi channel, where it would get its due.

This is a great show. I love Socks & the Devil. The whole cast is great. I hope it survives!
