Nickelodeon has ordered 26 episodes of a CG animated series based on Dreamworks’ Kung Fu Panda. The show will follow the continuing adventures of Po, the fast-kicking star of the 2008 hit that grossed over $630 million worldwide. The news comes six weeks after the March bow of The Penguins of Madagascar (a spin-off of 2005′s Madagascar), which scored the best debut ratings in the history of the kid-friendly cable channel. A big-screen sequel to Kung Fu Panda is currently slated for summer 2011.
