How depressing that some people on here equate “money” with “quality.” I’ll let you guys in on a secret: Just because a movie doesn’t make money at the box office doesn’t mean that it’s bad. Just because a movie DOES make money at the box office doesn’t mean that it’s good. Rachel Weisz may not be able to open a blockbuster on her own, but she’s a better actress than many who could.
As for Pattinson, I’m going to wish him the best thing I can at the moment: May he star in enough films with quality co-stars and solid writing/directing so he can build his career up to a point where when he looks back in 20 years, he won’t be able to believe he was ever associated with Twilight (Exhibit A for “cash doesn’t equal quality”). I’m guessing that a lot the ire aimed at him on here isn’t at HIM, per se, but only his overzealous and borderline creepy fandom, many of whom act as if they know him and can speak about him as a person. Sorry, just creepy.
Rob tested as a white indian is going to get me to the cinema multiple times. I’m a woman in my 30′s and all my friends adore him and know he’s a good actor. We arent naive young girls. If Hugh says its a phenomenal part for Rob then I’m thrilled to bits. Rob couldnt be working with better people. I’m happy for him. I think its a shame some of hugh’s fans need to be so aggressive. Why are they worried – he’s a huge star and I’m sure will be delighted to let Rob get some attention. Hugh respects Rob and his talent so why dont you try a little respect for a change.
Madeleine’s quotes has got me thinking. Will rob’s character prefer his indian life. That struggle will be fascinating to see on screen.

When someone says that he doesn´t like Pattison doesn´t have to mean he is Hugh´s fan. I can´t see Hugh´s fans agressive. Some are just saying that Robert has done only one big movie, that wasn´t exactly great. I, as a fan of both, Hugh and Rachel, feel a little sorry for Rachel. She is the one with an Oscar here and is barely mentioned in some articles. But Hugh will be probably the lead here, followed by Rachel, so whole this havoc is pointless. They all are obviously thrilled that they are working together and have nothing but nice words about each other. And, Rachel and Hugh already have an amazing chemistry from The Fountain so it´s good when actors know each other. Same for Hugh and Robert. He can only profit from working with more experienced and older actors like Hugh and Rachel.
