Robert Pattinson, Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz join Madeleine Stowe's directorial debut

Tags:

Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson will star in the 19th-century drama Unbound Captives, and Madeleine Stowe will make her directorial debut from a script she cowrote more than 15 years ago, according to Variety.

Stowe originally wrote the script in the early 1990s with her husband Brian Benben (Dream On), but she turned down a multimillion dollar offer from Fox when they wouldn’t promise her anything more than a writing credit. Now, she’ll direct.

Weisz will play the role Stowe once envisioned for herself, a frontier woman whose husband is killed and whose two children are kidnapped. Pattinson will play her son, and Jackman will play the man who comes to her rescue.

I am stoked about Rob being in this film. Rob in a western is like a dream come true.

This sounds great, both Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman are my favorite actors.

Is it Xmas – Rob in a western looking all ruff and ready is like an early Xmas present.

Mega excited about this. I am dying tosee Rob in roles that appeal to a male fanbase. Great choice Rob. Just perfect.

Luv the idea of Pattinson working with Jackman. Jackman can teach Rob how to develop into an all rounder to appeal to a male audience as well as the amazing female support he has. Pattinson is one smart kid.

Love Rachel Weisz so much, she’s the best actress working today. Hugh is also great as well as Rob.

Pattinson is picking his projects well. Firstly Memoirs which has a great script, then Bel Ami which again is one of the top European scripts of 2008 and now this. If he can top this off with Dune for Peter Berg I’ll be thrilled to bits.

Weisz and Jackman are fantastic actors but Patterson? I don’t know.

Cant wait to see Pattinson in this. Awesome.
Jackman and Weisz were terible in The Fountain. Just dire.

I love all three especially Pattinson so this excites me a lot. Rob in cowboy gear – yummy. Rob and Hugh have the same twinkle in their eye so I’m hoping there is some humourous scenes between them.

“Jackman and Weisz were terible in The Fountain”
They were amazing in the Fountain, if you think Rob Patterson is a better than ether of them, you’re stupid.
