NBC passing on David E. Kelley pilot, ABC on Lauren Graham comedy?

Categories: Television

NBC has officially passed on David E. Kelley’s fall pilot Legally Mad, Variety reports. The dramedy, set at a Chicago law firm, starred Pushing Daisies Kristin Chenoweth. Insiders tell the trade that Lauren Graham’s highly anticipated return to TV won’t happen with her comedy pilot at ABC. The show, about a self-help guru obsessed with her ex-boyfriend, is said to have met crickets in the screening room.

well that sucks…Love Lauren Graham and was looking forward to her return to TV….

  • Garry

I hope Lauren finds another show–the description of this one sounds pretty awful.

As much as I love those 2 ladies, it’s probably a good thing those shows didn’t make it. I’d rather see them back on something good.

If these seasoned execs can’t make TV shows work, who can?

  • Kristen

Well that stinks. I was so looking forward to having Kristin Chenoweth back on television! :(

love lauren graham, but i got to see the pilot and wow, was it painful. she deserves so much better.

  • Daniel

YES. Although that’s too bad about Kristen Chenowith, passing on Kelley’s pilot means “Chuck” will be able to return for a 3rd season. (Or so insiders are saying.) :) :)

I traveled to NYC to see Lauren Graham on Broadway only to find out she wasn’t performing due to working on that pilot and now it doesn’t get picked up??? Totally unfair.

Lauren Graham is one of the funniest women in hollywood…you would think she would have offers coming out the rafters…..hollywood is blind sometimes.

Thank God the world was spared another David E Kelly show about lawyers. But at least this one was set in Chicago, as I was getting tired of most of his recent shows being in Boston.

  • marika

We all want to see Lorelay thinking she will be the same here and there.
But we do not know much about Lauren Graham , yes she’s good, funny and beautiful, fantastic actor ? not really
I saw all her films it is nothing to brag about sorry.
