Actor-director Kevin Costner is returning to one of his favorite genres, Westerns, to develop a four-hour miniseries for A&E, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Costner will produce and may direct at least part of the post-Civil War story about a major conflict during the settlement of the West. He may also star in the project, depending on the final script.

That’s great, Costner knows how to make a Western.
Um… Costner can make the western, but I don’t need him to star in it. Do we really need another vehicle for Costner to be the enlightened hero?
