Dave Gahan, lead singer of British band Depeche Mode, was taken to a hospital on Tuesday in Athens, Greece, where the band was scheduled to perform, according to Reuters. A concert organizer said Gahan had fallen ill in his dressing room and that the Athens performance had been canceled.

oh no! I hope it is nothing major and he just needs a new puffer for his voice.
I’m supposed to see them tomorrow in Istanbul. Looks like that might be canceled, too. Darn it !!!
I tried to see them in Kansas City a couple of years ago. They played four or five songs, and the singer got sick and walked off stage. The other guys tried to carry on, but couldnt and they ended the show early.
They are scheduled to return here again, and was going to give them a second chance, but at $75 or more a ticket, I can’t afford to do that.
I guess I’ll just have to be happy with my recorded music.
I hope it’s just diarrhea.
I highly recommend giving them a second chance. I’ve seen them live three times and every show was amazing!
I saw the ‘Music for the Masses’ tour in Ohio and loved it.
In fact, I still play that CD/cassette album to this day…Never Let Me Down, Things That You’ve Said, and of course Strange Love…strange highs and strange lows were amazing live. I’d see them in concert, again, in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I went to that Kansas City concert a couple years ago too. What a huge disappointment. He needs to lay off the drugs. They’re ruining his career and LIFE!!!!
