Via his burgeoning production company, Ryan Seacrest Productions, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is partnering with British chef Jamie Oliver to create an unscripted series that aims to give healthy food makeovers to America’s unhealthiest cities, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Oliver plans to visit unhealthy American cities (which are still to be determined) and improve eating habits by using local resources. ABC has ordered six episodes of the series, which is expected to air sometime next year.

When Oliver made a show on network TV in the UK attempting to improve the food served in public schools, he prompted a national debate and forced promises from the Prime Minister and Secretary for Schools and Education to improve the situation…something tells me ABC won’t be aiming to do the same…
Oops, that’s ‘Minister’ for schools and education…
I am very happy to see that Ryan Seacrest and Jamie Oliver our teaming up to promote healthy eating. Our son Eric, 13 years old, is just finishing up a huge school project on that same subject. He made a music video to promote healthy eating as part of the project. I thought that you might enjoy it.
