Ken Watanabe joins Christopher Nolan's 'Inception'

Ken Watanabe has signed up for director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, Inception, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Watanabe joins a cast that already includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, and Michael Caine. The Oscar-nominated Japanese actor (The Last Samurai) is reported to be playing the movie’s villain, who is blackmailing DiCaprio. Watanabe previously worked with Nolan on 2005′s Batman Begins. Inception is scheduled to be released in July 2010.

    Adam, you don’t know who Ken Watanabe is? Time to climb out from under your rock and see The Last Samurai, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Batman Begins. Oh, and this movie is going to rock; Christopher Nolan doesn’t know how to make a bad movie.
