AMC has announced its critically-adored 60′s-era drama Mad Men will debut its third season in August, not in mid-July like in previous seasons, according to Variety. Mad Men had been at the center of some controversy in recent months, with series creator Matthew Weiner not officially signing on for another season until mid-January. No specific premiere date has been set as of yet, and likewise, no plot detailshave been divulged. It is likely it will pick up some time after 1962′s Cuban Missle Crisis, the time frame established at the end of the season 2.

It’s too bad that we have to wait an extra month, but I’m so looking forward to my favorite show coming up. I’m really curious about where they are going to take this and how they will address the events that happened at the end of last season. Brilliant show and I’m glad Weiner and all of the cast is back =)
