Jenny McCarthy has signed a multi-year deal with Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions to develop projects including a syndicated talk show that she would host, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The first product of the deal is a new blog on Oprah.com, launched May 1.

Jenny McCarthy: Oprah’s new Dr. Phil?

Oh great….the woman who has mis-informed millions about Autism now has an even bigger forum from which to spout her lunatic comments. I’m so excited.
You got it, MissTrish. This Bunny is dangerous. Why can’t people do their own research instead of just listening to celebrities who are no smarter (and let’s face it, probably dumber) than anyone else?!?
I will not, and will never watch anything this preachy misinformed woman has to say. Did Harpo Productions lose a bet and have to put her in something? This seems like a really bad choice by a normally exceptional production company. I guess it shows how out of touch rich people are….nobody cares what Jenny has to say. The only people that care about her are the men when she takes off her clothes for Playboy
Word, Trish. When it comes to “Buzz” Oprah cares about quantity, not quality. As long as we’re being force fed and eating it up, who cares if what we’re being told is lies? Thanks Oprah!
Will Oprah give James Frey and Herman Rosenblat shows as well?
It’s really interesting to see how many of you are so down on Jenny McCarthy…even bringing in her past as a Playboy model. It’s so sad that we live in a society that is so judgmental. She has proven herself a serious author, actress and now mother. As far as her being misinformed and bringing that misinformation to the masses…her son has Autism. I’m sure she has educated herself on many levels and has drawn her conclusions based off of SOMETHING, not just pulled them out of the air. Besides, I doubt any of you even know how many varying degress and types of autism there really are. She’s a classy lady, a wonderful mother and deserves any success she has. Try to be a little nicer, huh?
Tatum,
I am an Instructional Autism teacher. I have a master’s degree in special education. I know what I am talking about. Jenny McCarthy did not, and never will, “cure” her child of Autism. There is no cure. Those of us in the field can see that her child has Autism when he is with her in interviews, etc. Jenny McCarthy is simply giving false hope to people. I am well aware that there are varying degrees of Autism; I see it every day in my classroom. Her child just happens to be one of the higher-functioning children with Autism. The mis-information that she touts as “fact” have made my job incredibly difficult. I love my students and love my job, and am an advocate for Autism research. I am not an advocate for false hope and lies.
That tramp wouldn’t get 2 seconds of my time. She gets a second because thats how long it takes to click the channel whenever I see her.
You’re all haters! I love Jenny McCarthy. I think she is funny, beautiful and smart. She has been a champion for Autism and has brought so much awareness to the issues. I’m not surprised Oprah has signed Jenny McCarthy. She’s proven that she is no dumb blonde and everything Oprah touches turns to gold.
Thanks MissTrish! People like Jenny are not worth my time. Thank you for your time and devotion, it is refreshing to hear from someone who deals with these issues everyday, who is not a parent.
From a parent.
Jenny McCarthy surely means well but has clearly wasted researchers time and money re-evaluating vaccines that have been proven over and over to be safe and not linked to autism. Worse than that, she has instilled needless fear into the hearts of parents who already have enough stress raising children in the world today.
