Family Guy has not been funny since it was reserected. At least with Terminator there were decent special effects to keep your attention. Put Family Guy on Friday night and vertually no one will DVR it.
justin needs a nap. family guy is in the top 10 funniest shows around. seth is NOT a hack. but a talented man. and american dad is funny as well.quit slamming fox and go watch the sci-fi channel. the new show will rock. sorry all of you jealous people can’t get the jokes. maybe i wil explain them to you…..VERY SLOWLY!

I’m certainly not crabby enough for a nap, thanks. Joe you’ve got to be kidding yourself if you think Family Guy is smart enough to need its jokes EXPLAINED. I work in an Elem. School and most of the people I know who watch Family Guy are under 12. SciFi???? Way to take an opinion and turn it in to a personal attack.
I agree with Justin. I’ve never thought Family Guy was all that funny, and never understood why people think this show is so funny. And now they want a spin off? Please! Family Guy has a habit of overdoing it’s jokes and hitting it’s punch lines way too hard. I still say the Simpsons will always rule the animation landscape, not “Family Guy”, or should I say “Simpsons Jr.”
Family Guy is funny more often than not (though there was a pretty un-funny period during seasons 5 and 6, 7′s getting better every week), but American Dad isn’t that funny. It’s no coincidence that the one ep from this season I watched had a ton of FG-esque random gags.
Obviously, it’s within FOX’s rights to try and milk the cash cow named Seth MacFarlane, but 35 eps ordered BEFORE the show airs? I’m guessing they’re treating this as cheap filler, ratings be damned.
I never get this argument: If you dislike something or have a different opinion than someone, who does at least one person respond that you are jealous…it makes no sense. What’s next…I know you are but what am I?
So how does the fact they’ve ordered a second season already surprise everyone? We’ve seen their affinity for terrible shows and contempt for the few good ones.
