Circus, indeed. A drunken fan rushed the stage at Britney Spears’ concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut May 2. Kyle King, 20, charged the stage during Britney’s encore performance of "Womanizer" (video can be found on TMZ). According to the gossip site, both security and the pop star’s backup dancers were able to stop King before he could come in contact with Spears. The Connecticut State Police confirmed that King was arrested for breach of peace and released this morning on a $250 bond. He will face a judge in June.

I was at this concert! That was the craziest thing I ever saw. They straight up tackled him… The angle the video got on TMZ isnt a good one. Where I was sitting I saw ALL the action. Ms. Spears also had another flub when she slipped and fell on her bum during her number “Get Naked!” But like a true star ‘The Show Must Go On!’

They shoulda done more than tackle the guy & arrest him. They shoulda beat the crap outta him & sent him to the hospital & then arrested him.
Who cares. Fans jump on stages all the time with singers. Only difference alot of the singers welcome them and keep actually singing. The guy obviously wasn’t attacking her. Just wanted to dance with her.
That man had no business coming on the stage to get near Britney Spears! She’s doing her show and she doensn’t need some crazy fan to interrupt it. I commend security and the dancers for reacting immediately and getting him off the stage.

Where was the security? In Toronto during Britney’s tour, there was a ridiculous amount of security around the stage. There’s no way in hell someone would have been able to get on stage.
I felt so bad for her. Remember that this is a woman who has had to fire several restraining orders recently, whose atalker was arrested recently, and who went through two years of hell. The look of horror on her face even with sunglasses made me feel very sad for her. Imagine if he had tried to hurt her!!! What part of “Living legend you can look but dont touch” does he not get??

Where was the security guards during this? How does someone not only get that close to the stage but is able to get ON the stage?! Check it out now, what do you think?!

We were both at the concert. At first we thought that the fan was part of the act because britney was wearing a police woman outfit. Thank goodness though that the kid was prevented from coming close to brit. We love Britney Spearsss!
Most venues do have very tight security but people aren’t realizing that this was Mohegan Sun Casino Arena. It is on Native American soil which means it is a sovereign nation with its own laws/police/security. They do not have metal detectors and rarely do bag checks at the arena. Though in recent years they have added more security from what I’ve seen. Either way, you can do whatever you want at the casino. So for everyone who is so shocked and wondering how this could ever happen they should know all the facts.
