Danny Gans, a Las Vegas singer and comedian best known for his impersonation of George Burns, died today at 52, according to CNN. The cause of death has not yet been revealed. Gans’ wildly successful Vegas run began in 1996, when he landed a three-month gig at the Stratosphere Hotel. In the intervening years, the Broadway vet had shows at the Mirage Hotel and the Encore Theater at Steve Wynn’s Wynn Las Vegas Hotel. He is said to have sold more tickets on the Strip than the Rat Pack or Elvis Presley, and was voted Las Vegas "Entertainer of the Year" for 11 consecutive years. He is survived by his wife and three children.

My family and I just saw DANNY GANS in March What a show. I am sure GOD has room for him GOD BLESS you DANNY GANS and to your family.
just booked tickets yesterday for his show at the Wynns. WOW.
Danny Gans was a talent we will never see again. He was a role model for love of God, family and humility. He was a sprititual inspiration. We never missed a chance to see him entertain in Vegas. He was a wonderful man and will sorely be missed. We loved him.
Wow, I saw him like 3 years ago at The Mirage. Admittedly, his impressions were geared more towards the older crowd than my generation, but he was very good. I didn’t know he had any health problems, assuming it was from natural causes. This is quite a shame.
We were lucky enough to see Danny Gans on Saturday, April 25th when we were in Vegas this past weekend to celebrate my 55th birthday. My husband and I had never been so greatly entertained and were thoroughly impressed with Danny’s talent, his professionalism, his creativity and just HIM. We loved him and were so happy to have finally been able to see him as we had tried on two other occasions but were in Vegas for his blackout dates.
We are devastated to hear of his death and cannot believe that he has left our world. He had so many people left to entertain. He was a champion of the stage – versatility galore. We will forever be changed by seeing him in person and will never forget him.
I also just booked tickets, couldn’t wait to watch my friend’s face as she watched him. What a loss. God Bless him and the family he loved so much.
Nobody sold more tickets than Elvis in Vegas on a comparative time span. His presence there affected the whole of Vegas and room occupancy was usually up around 80%.
My husband and I went to see Danny’s show for the first time on March 20. We enjoyed every part of his show. Our prayers go out to his family…
I am so saddened. I can not believe this. He was so incredibly talented. I recommended him to all to went to Vegas. He will be SO missed. The world has truly lost one of the great talents of all time.
what a loss. His family is in my thoughts and prayers. His show was awesome. we just used my Danny Gans coffee mug this morning.
We saw Danny Gans years ago at a convention and loved him, and we were supposed to see him again Tuesday. We will miss you dearly.
This really bums me out. My wife and I went to his last show – Wednesday night – and really enjoyed it. The world has lost a truly outstanding entertainer and one who seemed to be genuinely interested in and appreciative of his audience. Blessings and comfort to his family.
Our deepest sympathy to the Gan’s Family. He will truly be missed in Las Vegas.
Sorry to hear the news….saw show at mirage almost 8 years ago to the day….

I just arrive in Las Vegas today and heard the news and to say the least this town is in shock!!!
