According to the Hollywood Reporter CBS chairman Sumner Redstone declared yesterday that CSI will "beat the hell" out of Jay Leno when the comedian moves to his new 10pm timeslot. Redstone was talking to Larry King at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills. The CBS chairman, who is 85, also said he had no intention of dying. "I’m going to live forever" Redstone claimed.

This was the dumbest move NBC ever made. late shows cannot compete with scripted television that is why they are on really late at night. Leno is a real jerk for trying to upstage Conan like this. He made a deal and should have kept it.
Please NBC don’t go with Leno, next fall. It’s a huge mistake!!!!
I always thought that being half asleep while watching was what made late shows bearable.
I think they will be reorganizing the schedule shortly after the change goes into effect.
I know he’s old, but does he not know CSI is on at 9:00 ET? Maybe he’s referring to the other 2 CSIs.
Not only is the orignal CSI on at 9:00, but even if the two other CSI shows challenge Jay in the ratings, that’s only 2 nights of the week, total. Jay will be on 5 nights per week as I understand so not much of a threat, IMO.
One man can’t carry a network. I don’t care if your Leno, Ryan Seacrest, Superman, or Jesus.

Redstone seems a little crazy to me.
well it’s not like Leno’s show is supposed to be some 10 o’ clock juggernaut or something. it was never meant to be a “threat” to the 10 o’ clock dramas. maybe just another alternate to the local news.
