Its funny how nobody has successfully argued how and why two people marrying would directly affect their lives and why its their business to bud into in the first place.

Human beings are created as a free moral agents. By this man/woman can make his/her life or mar it.One of the most simpliest way to mar life is to go for same sex marriage. Whatever ones heart desire let him/her go for it. But rember the person should rember there’s price for it.The existence of two sexes are for a purpose.Be wise wise and make your life purposeful and meaningful. definitely pthat

We are in the age freedom. Therefore, same sex marriage, canibalism, drug addition, rapist, slavery, etc, should be be allowed because that is the heart desire some individuals.

    She’s not “Miss” California.
    She’s “Mis-California”. LOL

I think this woman should be allowed to have her opinion…BUT, going out of her way to fight against same sex marriage is another thing entirely. It comes across as incredibly suspect. Did this woman do such things before she was asked the same sex marriage question at the pageant??? Did she appear in anti same sex marriage ads before the pageant? Did she go on talk shows to besmirch same sex marriages before the pageant? You can be passionate about your opinions and go about supporting them without intentionally hurting an entire group of human beings because she sees it as an opportunity to extend her 15 minutes of fame. Hate is NOT sexy, Miss California….and hiding behind the bible is no excuse for your ignorance. If you are so religious, maybe extending your arms and opening your mind to others unlike you would be more beneficial than speading hate and intolerance. Stick to supporting the special olympics…then again, they are different, so I’m sure you hate them too.

Sexual preference is such a NON-ISSUE to anyone with 3/10 of a brain. Give it a rest already. PLEASE. Human sexuality–like humans in general–is much more complex than: “By golly, the good Lord mades a mans and a womans for a reason.” (Which, btw, sounds a lot like the justification state courts across America used in upholding white/black marriage bans prior to Loving v. VA. Back then it was “By golly, God mades two races for a reason.”) If you’re interested in protecting the sanctity of marriage, ban divorce. If you’re against gay marriage, don’t get one. While you’re at it, remember what Jesus said about homosexuals: Nothing.

If Carrie Prejean is against gay marriage because of religious beliefs, she should read the bible more closely. Leviticus, the book that has all the “abomination”-type language when referencing gay activity, also declares that a woman’s menstrual period is sinful and must be atoned for by going to a priest. Oh, but that’s the Old Testament, right? In the New Testament, Paul still condemns homosexual behavior, right? Yeah — and he also declares that women shouldn’t be allowed to wear jewelry or fancy clothes. I’m pretty sure he would have a problem with beauty contestants. (Listen to Bible literalists explain those points away but then insist that the Bible must be taken at its word when it condemns homosexuality. That’s clear-cut hypocrisy, folks.)

So, what’s hate speech? If you say someone should be killed because of what they believe in or do, that’s hate speech. Miss California never said that, so stop calling what she said hate speech. She was asked for her opinion about a controversial issue, and gave it honestly. As far as I understand the constitution, her answer is protected as free speech.

I think people are upset with how she expressed her views. She said “In her country she did not believe in gay marraige. In her country? The last time I looked this was our country. I do believe everyone has the right to thier opinion. But it reminds me of that saying … it’s better for people to think you a fool, than to open your mouth, and remove all doubt.
