On the heels of news that Chris Noth will reprise his role as Mr. Big in the Sex and the Citysequel, New Line now confirms that Evan Handler (Charlotte’s husband,Harry) and David Eigenberg (Miranda’s husband, Steve) will be back, too. (The casting news was originally broken by E! Online.)The addition of these two actors just about completes a reunion of all the major players — including the four central women and writer-director Michael PatrickKing –  from last summer’s hit movie based on the HBO show. again, this isn’t news. as husbands of the main characters, there was never an issue as to whether they would be in the new movie. not everything having to do with the SATC movie is breaking news.

when it’s confirmed if Mario Cantone will be back, or for some reason Jason Lewis is in it, then i’ll be excited. the husbands are obvious.

If they kill Harry I will be very upset.

Jenn, if it’s not news why did you bother commenting on it?

This is good to hear, but the real news will be if Dante takes a trip to NYC to pay Samantha a visit.

Oh, how I loved the show. Oh, how I disliked the movie. I certainly hope this one is better. Right now, I loathe myself just a tiny bit, knowing I will be there on opening week-end.

yup, totally agree with MomC — and I even bought the dvd (hey, it was on sale for under $10 – LOL) – just glad they got the men — maybe they can get the actors who play Smith and Richard?

I am glad they are coming back, but I loved Harry on the show and was a bit disappointed by how little he appeared in the movie. I hope they give him and Charlotte more of a story in the new movie.

Why do we need a sequel. I enjoyed both the show and the movie, but what more of a story is there to tell? Can’t they leave well enough alone?

  • jk

the last one was disappointing. they should just create a spin-off.

  • jk

no kidding .. adding to the story would be ruining. too many great stories r ruined this way.

From NOT wanting to do the first movie (making us wait a long time) to now making a sequel. It’s all about money and greed. But oh well…hopefully they will do another good job.

I don’t understand why people dog on the movie so much. I am an avid SATC fan and the movie was perfect, from the storyline to all the actors to even the costumes. Perfect. What’s with the hate, people?

they don’t need a plot or anything, just show them wlaking around nyc for 2 hours and you get 100 million – http://cutechristians.com
