Actor Lane Garrison (Prison Break), who pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving after a December 2006 car accident, has been released from the California Correctional Institute in Tehachapi, Calif. E! News is reporting that the 28-year-old actor was freed early Wednesday morning, after serving less than half of his sentence.
In November 2007, Garrison was sentenced to 40 months in state prison for his role in a DUI crash in Beverly Hills that left a 17-year-old boy dead and injured a 15-year-old girl.
Terry Thornton, spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, told E! that Garrison had earned enough good-behavior credits to warrant his release.
Last week, Garrison agreed to a financial settlement with the victims and their family members involved in his 2006 car crash.

Let’s see… did he learn anything from this? Let me rephrase that…does anyone in Hollywood ever learn from their mistakes? Talk amongst yourselves on this one…
In the meantime, let’s see him on the series finale of PB, that would be a great comeback and a great new low for PB, given that it won’t be back anyway.
Hey, Lane, now WHERE is that screenplay you’ve started before all this nonsense? I’m sure you had all this time to finish it…
um, do you know him? who are you to judge whether he’s changed or whether he even needed to change? everyone makes mistakes and he may have been the adult, but 17-year olds aren’t stupid. They know not to get in the car with someone who’s intoxicated, one, and two, they know not to get adults to buy alcohol for them. Anyway, I’m glad he’s been released and has the chance to move on with his life.
This has been a very sad situation all around. I wish Lane well and hope he and the families are able to move on with their lives.
Yes, let’s bring him back to PB…even though his character is dead! Moron
My family and I were there dinurg the Swine Flu epedemic in 2009, and June of 2010, both for 1 week. My family always talks about it there, and if there’s one place my 6 year old son dreams to go back to, it’s the Barcelo Maya Palace. We’ve never stayed at the Barcelo Maya Tropical, although I’ve shot video of it here.
This is a great guy who made some horrible choices and has paid (and will continue to pay) the price. Here’s hoping he can use this experience to positively impact others. Best of luck, Lane.
Ha HA yeah bring him back to Prison Break. Not only is he dead but they filmed the series finale like two months ago!
At least he’ll be able to watch it now. lol
I though he got life in prison, boy he did brake out of prison early haha! http://cutechristians.com
I am extremely impeessrd with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one today..
I THINK IT’S HORRIBLE TO LET THESE DRUNK DRIVERS OFF THE HOOK AFTER THEY HAVE KILLED SOMEONE. IT WAS A CHOICE TO DRINK AND TO CONTINUE TO DRINK UNTIL YOU GET DRUNK IS A CHOICE.WHAT’S NOT A CHOICE IS TO BE HIT AND OR KILLED BY A DRUNK DRIVER. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STAND UP FOR THE VICTIMS
All too many times we forget about the victims of such horribe crimes. especially when a celebrity is involved. sooooo sad.
