Farrah Fawcett’s doctor, Dr. Lawrence Piro, spoke about the actress’ health on Good Morning America today and refuted a recent statement by Fawcett’s son, Redmond O’Neal, in which he said his mother was down to 86 pounds. "She is not 86 pounds, she is 101 pounds," Piro said. "She has challenges every day from the fight with cancer. So long as she is able to fight, she’ll keep fighting." Piro said Fawcett was "very, very joyful and happy to be a part" of celebrating longtime partner Ryan O’Neal’s birthday at the actress’ house this past Monday.
Piro said Fawcett is still "slugging away" with her treatment, some days making progress, some days sliding back. "She has courage and she has strength, and she can do what so many people aspire to do, and what the journey of cancer teaches you to do is the ability to look in the face of fear and not shudder," he said.

That son of hers is such a loser. He should be in jail, not rehab. I feel sorry for Farrah but maybe she and Ryan should have spent more time parenting this kid and less time doing drugs (maybe Farrah didn’t but we know Ryan did – or still does).
The entire O’Neal family has drug abuse issues – someone should’ve stepped in years ago and done something. I find Redmond’s actions to be immature and selfish.
I love you Farrah!
Farrah wasn’t the greatest parent in the world but Ryan O’Neal was an absolute nightmare to all of his kids. I feel sorry for Redmond, the poor kid never had a chance.
Farah is still an American beauty – no matter what !
Ryan O’Neil is such a loser.A very bad parent.Look at all the problems his kids have had.Redmond is a total mess.It is a shame he cant get it together when his mom is suffering.
Love you Farrah and always will.
Please give the Screen Actors Guild a copy of the video from the seminar you gave. Many people that could not attend want to see it. It was a terrific night!
REdmond was lying to get sympathy from the judge. Its a shame a kid wiht good jeans is wasting away. He could be an actor – http://www.shortpeopledate.com
good jeans? do you mean, GENES ?
The majority of the people commenting haven’t got a clue. We all have shortcomings; However, Ryan has risen to the occasion. He attends to Farrah. He shows her how much he loves her in this time of her great need. Give the man some credit. His son will grow up and live on. Ryan will be scarred by his loves death. Don’t be a judge or a hater. Just thank the lord that you aren’t walking in any of their shoes right now. Bashing people that are hurting doesn’t make any of you haters look good.
