During an interview on ABC’s Nightline airing this Thursday, Paula Abdul will reveal that her American Idol contract is coming up for renewal this season. "I love the show, I do," she says. Asked if she thinks she might be replaced on the show, Abdul says, "I don’t think anyone [can]…. Whenever there is change it’s not about replacing anybody; it’s about possibly moving on."

I guess they put Kara there to replace Paula if she does not renew her contract. She might want to do other things, or she is being “encouraged” to move on?! Randy and Simon do some many other things , and still remain on the show. THey have tremendous salaries, and the three original judges are part of the show’s success!!
Please don’t come back Paula.

Considering all the negitivity about
Kara (so many AI fans dislike her) why
would they want to replace Paula with
her. If Paula decides to not renew her
contract, they could do better than
Kara. For instance, what about someone
like Gloria Estafan who is smart,
talented, respected and likable.

If Simon leaves the show will never be the same. You may even loose viewers. Four judges are too many. If Paula leaves, fairwell. She is painful to listen to and acts like she is on drugs. Kara and Randy are great. Stick with the origional format of the show and don’t concentrate so much on the personalities of the contestants. We don’t care and it makes the show less credible and too comercial. I hated Tanya and almost quit watching because of her. Also the idiot guy with the head band. You are ruining the show with that kind of crap.
Forget Paula! I’m sorry but it’s painful to listen to her. I have TiVo and I just fast forward whenever it’s her turn to speak. Why is everyone picking on Kara? She is so much more articulate than Paula. Move on.
