Project Runway will — finally! — return on Aug. 20 at 10 p.m. on the Lifetime Network, marking its eagerly awaited comeback after months of messy legal wrangling over which network had the rights to air the sixth season of the show. The catwalk reality series will bring back Teutonic hostess Heidi Klum, "make-it-work" mentor Tim Gunn, and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, and feature 16 new contestants vying to make it all the way to Fashion Week. Lifetime also announced that it would unveil a new companion series titled Models of the Runway, which will air directly after Project Runway at 11p.m. The 30-minute show will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the Project Runway competition from the vantage point of the models.

the companion show sounds interesting. it will be interesting to see what the models think of the sometimes awful outfits they have to wear.
i think the companion show sounds cool – and shows they’re not just ripping off Bravo wholesale, they have some of their own thoughts.
the companion show does sound like something i would def. watch. I always figured that the most interesting episodes was when the silent mannequins actually got to open their mouths.
Yawn – who cares? I can’t imagine this show being good on Lifetime – and let’s face it, it was losing steam (and fast) on Bravo. I am looking forward to the new Bravo show with Isaac Misrahi, but I don’t think I’ll be making room for PR anymore.
Well, I am excited! This is my wife’s favorite show and she got me hooked on it. I am more interested in the creativity that is shown than the crazy drama, since I work in Web Design.
All the footage is in the can and they wait until August 20th? Apparently, “lifetime” refers to the wait for new programming.
