Sofia Coppola sets new movie, 'Somewhere,' at LA's iconic Chateau Marmont

Categories: Movie Biz, Movies

Writer-director Sofia Coppola’s next film project, Somewhere, will be filmed and set at LA’s celeb-loving hotel Chateau Marmont, according to Variety. The Focus Features movie, which will be shot in June and July in both LA and Italy, is set to star Stephen Dorff (Public Enemies) and Elle Fanning (Phoebe in Wonderland). Dorff will play an excess-loving actor who is forced to reassess his life when his 11-year-old daughter (Fanning) arrives without warning. The project reunites Coppola with Focus Features, which she partnered with to make 2003’s well-received Lost in Translation. Sophia isn’t the only Coppola working on the project: brother Roman Coppola is producing and father Francis Ford Coppola is listed as an executive producer.
