Cam Gigandet, the actor who played Bella’s villainous vampire attacker James in Twilight, has been tapped to star in Screen Gems’ The Roommate alongside Leighton Meester, Variety reports. The film follows a college student who becomes obsessed with her roommate. Screen Gems expects to begin shooting in May.

I don’t really expect the movie to be any good (‘Single White Female’?), but that will be a hot couple onscreen.
The best way to keep people away from movies and TV is to fill them with untalented teenagers that no one cares about–who are these people anyway?
