As EW’s Michael Ausiello previously reported, NBC has officially renewed Law & Order: SVU, a rep for the show tells EW. It’s still uncertain, though, whether Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni will be returning to the network’s No. 1 scripted series. EW reported last week that NBC was threatening to replace the stars if they continue pushing for bigger paychecks. The actors’ contracts expire in May, so stay tuned.

what about CHUCK?
I thought this was official already? Ah well, hopefully everyone comes back.

What about Chuck?
It’s sorta getting irritating having the chuck fans incessiently going “WHAT ABOUT CHUCK!!”
STFU! It will be cancelled unless NBC decides not to pick up any new shows next year which is unlikely. Chuck deserves to be cancelled if the fans keeps rambling on about how it needs to be saved with such annoying desperation *rolls eyes*
What About Chuck, CHUCK HATE?
…this article wasn’t about Chuck, it was about L&O:SVU.
And I say to the producers of this fine series…let them both go.
Do what CSI did to Jorja Fox and George Eads.
In today’s economy, those two should be down on hands and knees thanking all of the gods in the universe that they still have a job, let alone one that pays them thousands of dollars PER EPISODE!!! Each of them makes more per episode than I do in a year. One would think they could afford to agree on a wage freeze – one year contract.
As for who can replace them…Adam Beach is my pick for Meloni’s spot. He’s already established in the L&O universe and his character is interesting. As for the female lead…hmmmmm gonna have to give that more thought.
Anyway, my point was their insistance on a wage increase is just plain greedy right now.
(and NO movie star is worth more than 10 million/movie anymore either…GREED!!!)
To CHUCK HATE: you have some holes in your logic. Wouldn’t you think that if a show has a loyal fanbase that is incessantly asking for NBC to consider renewing the show, it should be MORE likely to be renewed rather than LESS? Saying that Chuck “deserves” to get canceled because its fans are so devoted to a damn good show makes no sense whatsoever. …That being said, I’m glad SVU got renewed, but it won’t be the same without Mariska and Chris. Hopefully they can renew their contracts. …Also, SAVE CHUCK!!!

To CHUCK HATE, I appreciate your opinion, but I’m guessing you prefer procedural dramas like those on CBS anyway.
To EW, and NBC, I notice on a comment page about SVU, there are more people here that would rather voice their enjoyment and love of an action/comedy/drama – i.e. Chuck. That should say something.
So let’s see Chuck get a third season and more already.
Jorja and George thing had NOTHING to do with money
I have never been a big fan of SVU, from what I have seen of the two actors in question they are overpaid as it is.They have already received a raise while many other shows have frozen saleries for their actors, it seems they feel empowered to more money simply because they want it not because they deserve it, one look at the economy and how hard hit we have all been should make anyone with sense take the 350,000 and be thankfull for still having a job. If they continue to be stubborn, either replace them, or reduce the episodes to 16 or 13 other shows manage with fewer episodes.I frankly would not miss them if they were replaced.
I have to agree with Save Chuckles, SAVE CHUCK.

Seriously, the best show on television right now has got to be Chuck. For a show with limited advertising and goes up against a tough competition; mainly House and Dancing with the Stars. On any other night, I believe the show would thrive. If shown on tuesday or wednesday the only real competition would be American Idol.
PLEASE SAVE CHUCK!
To those concerned about Chuck, it simply needs to be given a new timeslot. Seinfeld didn’t catch on at first, same with the Office. I have a feeling that a little patience will pay off in the long run for a network who desperately needs ratings. With that said, I honestly doubt Chuck will be renewed. The neilsen ratings are woefully flawed.
Chuck is a show with real untapped potential that NBC has programmed in an intriguingly detrimental manner. C’est La Vie, long live Chuck!
In response to “Chuck Hate,” I’m a big Chuck fan myself and I very much hope it gets renewed, but I can see how this near spamming by Chuck fans could grate on the nerves. I guess I feel like the comments should be at least tied into the theme of the article somehow. Simply blaring that Chuck needs to be saved isn’t too helpful, so let’s be more constructive fellow Chuck supporters! (and thumbs up to those of you who already have been)
As for SVU, good for it I guess, but I’ve never really watched it.
