Sci Fi’s upcoming SGU: Stargate Universe will feature some familiar characters, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Gary Jones, will each reprise their Stargate roles in guest stints during the show’s first season, which begins this fall.
Universe, the third Stargate television series (after Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis) will star Robert Carlyle, Lou Diamond Phillips and Ming-Na as a band of survivors aboard an ancient ship unable to return to Earth.

Awesome. I love seeing my favorite SG-1 characters. I can’t wait for Universe to start.
I wonder why Christopher Judge is not also on this list!
….and as always….
Have A Very Stargate Day!
With the way the Stargate producers have treated the SGA actors after the close of the show, I’d be surprised if any of them were asked to be on SGU (or Stargate 90210 as the SGA actors and SGA fans have named it). I hope SGU fails quickly, just to prove to Brad Wright that you don’t replace a good show just because your new shiny gets the green light.
Why don’t they just restart SG1 and be done with it?
I am still very angry about the way SGA was cancelled and it is very clear that the producers of this new Stargate have no love left for their Atlantis actors or characters.
I will not watch this new show, as it is the instrument of my favorite show’s destruction.
the 8 first seasons of SG1 are my favorite. I never could enjoy the 2 last ones, nor SGA. Don’t think I’ll even try to see SGU, not even for Carlyle…
Atlantis sucked. Bad. Hopefully Universe can return the franchise to its former SG-1 level of awesomeness.
Looks like a cross between Stargate, Battlestar, and Voyager. I have no choice but to watch it what else is there? They have ended everything.
“I wonder why Christopher Judge is not also on this list!”
Indeed.
This looks cool! There hasn’t been anything good to watch on Friday since Fox canceled Terminator. I’m so there!!
