The Associated Press is reporting that adult film star Marilyn Chambers — best known for the 1972 porn film Behind the Green Door — was found dead in her California home by her daughter. The cause of death for the 56-year-old actress, who modeled for Ivory soap before becoming one of the country’s first mainstream porn stars, had not yet been determined.

I am not sure if this is the right place to make this suggestion, but for American Idol contestant Adam Lambert I have an awesome song or artist for him to cover “I Don’t Need No Doctor” from the late great Steve Marriot from Humble Pie. I am truly saddened. I enjoyed her brief career. Behind the Green Door, while dated in terms of theme, was a classic film of the genre. Now, all three of the prime movers of the film, Jim and Artie Mitchell and Marilyn Chambers are sadly gone.
