Nearly a year and a half after Kanye West lost his mother to heart failure after she underwent plastic surgery, Dr. Jan Adams—the doctor who performed Donda West’s procedure—has surrendered his medical license. "A series of complaints were filed against Mr. Adams, but he chose to surrender his license instead of contest them," a Medical Board of California spokesperson told People. (Four malpractice suits were filed against the doctor between 2001 and 2007). In January 2008, Adams told Larry King, "As far as I’m concerned … at least the autopsy report suggestsnothing went on during surgery, nothing went on during recovery."
