Kyle Gallner, who can currently be seen in the horror hit, The Haunting in Connecticut, has been cast in New Line’s reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street, Variety reports. Gallner will play Quentin, one of the teenagers who will be confronting Freddy Krueger (to be played by Watchman star Jackie Earle Haley). Veteran music-video director Samuel Bayer will helm the movie, which will be released on April 16, 2010.

I’m gonna see the movie anyway but I’m excited to see kyle. he was amazing in the haunting in ct and his reality tv acting is great too so I hope he isn’t one of those kids that dies early on the movie. he better live the whole thing otherwise it’ll kinda make the movie bad. or they can kill all of them and make a 2nd movie thtd be good
