For the first time ever, all 12 Beatles albums have been digitally remastered and will be released worldwide on September 9, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music announced today in a press release. The collection drops on the same date that "The Beatles: Rock Band" video game is due out.
Talk about it on Music Mix:

Jumped the Shark
Jumped the Shark
Jumped the Shark
Jumped the Shark
Jumped the Shark
Jumped the Shark
F&F: Your mom jumped the shark….with my dick in her a$$. You punk-b*tch little troll
Yes yes yes yes yes! FINALLY! WOOHOO!
Weren’t at least the first 8 of these remastered when Capitol released box set consisting of the first 4 LP’s in the US & UK mixes?
You want this to sell to other than the most hard-core of Beatle fans, Capitol?
Then put two releases on the same CD!! Most Beatle albums have a running time of 25-35 minutes. CD’s comfortably hold up to 77 minutes. The entire Double-White album fits on a single CD!
Have mercy on the public and don’t try to squeeze the last penny out of us, Capitol. We’ve probably already purchased the complete Beatles collection at least 3 times over. Think of the next generation, and make these albums worthwhile to the newbie.
@rockgolf: The Capitol album releases were remasters, but of the original American releases, which were modified from the British releases. Even though they are in mono (in addition to stereo), they have different ‘effects’ on them and are considered largely inferior to the British releases.
Each disk of the White Album is more than 45 minutes. It won’t even fit on a 90-minute cassette.
Good to hear… Hopefully there will be enough reviews of the remasters to see if it’s worth replacing, bit by bit, my Beatles CDs from the 80s (can’t believe it’s been that long!). Hopefully, the White Album will be reissued on one, economically priced, disc. I’d also like to see the blandly packaged Past Masters Vols. 1 & 2 phased out and a nice new single collection (two discs is fine, just make it all in one attractive package) of the singles/B-sides/etc. that never appeared on the band’s albums.
While we’re at it, how about reissuing Yellow Submarine on DVD (why was it pulled anyhow?) and FINALLY releasing Let It Be on DVD? Oh, and a live at Shea Stadium DVD wouldn’t be bad either.
To Lee: Whoops… Didn’t realize each disc of the White Album was that long. OK then, two discs it is then.
This is great news indeed. Finally!!!!
So let me get this straight, I’m supposed to purchase the entire catalogue all over again? I don’t think so – the versions I have are just fine, thank you very much.
