I too think this is devastating that Carrie Underwood won entertainer of the year. While I am not personally a fan of hers, I find it more disappointing the organizations that she is linked with. If she only knew or maybe I should say recognized the roots of her listeners. This is how she was really “voted” in for entertainer of the year (campaigns from organizations like the humane society).
funny thing is,this isnt carrie”s fault ,shes gettin the hate but she still has undeserved trophy on her mantel, this is Academys fault, thats all,, shes the most underserved winner in history, thats opinion but based on facts, her idol fans and kids that parents let have control over their texting got it done, but academy let it happen, not carrie,,, and this isnt song writing award, she wrote few good songs but lot of people have, so dont use that as part of argument
Look Carrie bashers, the EOTY award is not only voted on by fans. In the first place she was nominated by her peers that put her in the category. She definitely deserves it. She has done a lot for country music. The other genres accept her as well. Get over it.

Kenny Chesney has sold more tickets than any human being on earth, and he does it year after year, including this one 2009, i was in Columbus the fans where on there feet over 90 min the whole time! And in Dallas fans stayed in a pouring rain to hear him sing! Not to mention he came back and played again just for them! Kenny Chesney is the soundtrack of the summer and our lives, Kerry is full of her own self, and Taylor is only going to be popular for a few more years then all her demographic of 17 year old girls will forget about her
I personally was glad to see Carrie Underwood win “Entertainer of the Year”. She deserved every bit of that honor. She represents everything that Country Music should be and I, for one, am extremely happy to see her take home that honor.
