Not true, sockgal. This mansion that they just purchased is the third home they’ve lived in since Season 1. They moved to a slightly larger house in the same area, now this bigger one farther away.

Great, her complaining and makeing the moolah off those kids, when people get tired of them how they going to make ends meet? Duggars support themselves. octomom, oh dont even get me going on her all she sees in her kids is $$$$$

To bad none of these remarks will get back to John and Kate. They themselves said when they get from there website a viewer put down the show or write how one of them is mean (Kate)or needs to improve on some issues they delete it without ever reading the article. Their kids could benefit if the parents just sat back and really watched the show and their attitude.

Take it easy on Kate. Yes she is very organized and with 8 kids I would like to see how anyone would handle that. She keeps control of the house because she has to or it would just be insanity and unfortunately sometimes John get caught in the crossfire, but they don’t mean to snap at each other, it’s just the way it comes out. They did not ask for 8 kids as a previous comment wrote but as everyone who has had invitro knows you have to expect multiples, and they did not expect this many. What person in their right mind would? I enjoy the show and if they can I hope to see more of them, and if not, good luck to them in the future. You guys rock!

Elizabeth: “I think the media should stop glorifying irresponsible breeding.” Elizabeth you are an idiot. Breeding is a term for animals, not humans. Jon and Kate weren’t irresponsible in conceiving their sextuplets. The doctors only fertilized 3 follicles and they all split into two each. We had 4 follicles and got twins. Stop criticizing people who can’t conceive on their own. We deserve babies just like anyone else. We aren’t all like octo-mum.

the show with the 18 kids is horrible. I watched half an hour and just found it so sad. I am all for having multiple children but the more kids you have the less attention you can give each one… I’m sorry but 18 kids should not be looked upon with positivity.

Why do we care???? The woman is a “B” there are too many kids and the Guy is a wuss…..but yet they are getting paid….screw that!

I think there’s been enough of this program. Kate is really obnoxious, and I don’t know how Jon has put up with her this long. The twins have gotten the short end of things, which may be why Madi has problems. Kate should know what it’s like to have a special needs child — my daughter & husband adopted 2 siblings and one is a special needs child and his sister has problems coming from the home she was in. Then Kate would learn something. Kate couldn’t be satisfied when she had the twins and so she should stop complaining (which she does on every show) about so many children. What I’ve seen of the newer show — Table for Twelve — so far — a much better way for children to grow up – less rigidity — and they DO have a special needs child.. I say, dump the show, and let them (or Jon, in this case) have to go out to work like everyone else.

Jon expressed his reluctance to participate in another season, but it was clear Kate wanted Season 5, and she will have her way. If Jon is uncomfortable with the lack of privacy and recent negative press, how does he think his children will deal with the media following them when they are teens? Kate is enjoying the attention and fame. In the finale she suggested an entire episode devoted to her “fashion”. Does anyone watch this program to see more of Kate? From their interaction, it appears the marriage is suffering. End the program, focus on the your children, and get some marriage counseling.

“They did not ask for 8 kids as a previous comment wrote…” The comment was that they CHOSE to have 8 kids. There are ways of reducing multiples. If your beliefs are such that you are against that, as Jon and Kate were, I can respect that. But then don’t expect me to be interested in or have sympathy for a situation in which you firmly placed yourself.

Anyone who breeds (yes, Elizabeth, humans do breed) is irresponsible. Look at the world around you. The earth will run out of potable water in 50 years. We have depleted this planet of almost all its natural resources. But people still keep having kids. If you want to be responsible, adopt. Adopt adopt adopt. There are plenty of children out there waiting for a good home and caring parents. But people, like Elizabeth, just because you can breed doesn’t mean you should, and it doesn’t make you special. Having that many children–no matter what the course of fertilization, especially when you already have offspring–if reckless. Zero population growth. There are too many people on the planet already.

Once they started the will-they-or-won’t-they drama, which we all knew was a lie because they’ve been filming this “reluctant” new season for several weeks, I stopped paying attention. I’d rather watch Table For 12, which not only has much more appealing parents, but which don’t have a pair of fundies at the helm. The Table For 12 parents actually seem to love one another, unlike Jon & Kate who always seem to act, publicly and privately, like they’ve hired divorce lawyers (whether they have or not).

Iola, if the world is so overcrowded and people who “breed” are irresponsible, then give us a little elbow room and commit suicide, please. kthxbye.

Apologies: When I mentioned Elizabeth, it should have been Christy I was talking to.
