As EW reported two days ago, The Wire alum Idris Elba is closing in on a role in The Losers, the Warner Bros.-Dark Castle thriller costarring Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen) and based on a DC-Vertigo comic.Elba has been negotiating to play Roque, a black ops commando set up by thegovernment. Now, The Hollywood Reporter says that Zoe Saldana (Vantage Point) is also negotiating to come aboard the project, about a betrayed Special Forces team that seeks revenge against the CIA, which will be directed by Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard). Elba will next be seen opposite Beyoncé Knowles in this month’s Obsessed, while Saldana appears in this summer’s much-hyped Star Trek reboot.
