Just four episodes into Breaking Bad‘s second season, burgeoning cable network AMC has greenlit a third cycle of the award-winning drama series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show — which stars Bryan Cranston as a high school chemistry teacher-turned-drug dealer — nabbed 1.7 million viewers in its season premiere, a 21 percent increase over the first season’s debut and a startling 42 percent bump over the first season’s viewership average. Bad was awarded the revered Peabody award just yesterday, and star Cranston took home the Emmy for best actor in a drama series last fall.
Back in January, AMC announced that its other hit series, Mad Men, was coming back for season 3.

I’m just wondering how they’re gonna keep this show going. I mean he’s gotta either die or get caught eventually. I just hope they don’t run out of ideas and drag it out anyways. I don’t expect them to run out of ideas though, with how amazing the show has been so far.

Best show on television right now. It may not be completely realistic as a real dealer woulda popped his annoying, questioning, sister of the dea agent wife. It is still the best show on TV when is season 3 going to air?
I really hope they come through with a third season! This is hands down, THE BEST SHOW ON TV!! They can’t possibly leave us all hanging after a season 2 finale like that. There are way too many loose ends to tie up that would make for an awesome third season. What’s the deal?.. Is season 3 a go or what???? Aaahhhhh!!
rome is completely correct. there is not another show on tv that does what this show does. this is exactly what tv needs!. some real crazy life drama. and the best thing of it all it’s completely unpredictable. you never know whats going to happen next

This is by far the best show on T.V. it shows the real life things that actually happen. I can’t wait till season 3, I can’t say that I really liked how season 2 ended way too many loose ends. But it sure is leaving me in suspense for a new season to start. I have never been into a show as much before, I have had shows that I would continually watch but never one that I would have to make sure that my work or personal schedule would not interferre with. I made sure that I was home @ 9:00 every sunday night. Does anyone know when season 3 is set to start?
