CBS balks at Candice Bergen's demands

Tagged:

Candice Bergen won’t star in CBS’ Big D, an upcoming comedy pilot about an East Coast transplant who spars with her Texan mother-in-law. And according to USA Today, it’s because of money. Though there was mutual interest between the parties, CBS passed on the five-time Emmy winner’s financial demands and cast Tony-winning actress Deanna Dunagan (August: Osage County) instead, for a lower price. The move is indicative of an overall tightening of the belt at CBS, and other networks.

I know Bergen would have been a ‘draw’, but Dunagan will be GREAT, I am sure. The show just got a lot more interesting as far as I’m concerned!

Bergen was cast as the great-grandma who was rarely let out of the attic, right? Isn’t she a bit long in the tooth for this kind of thing?

I wonder how many of you ever consider that these shallow parasites never give you a seconds consideration. Yet here you are, fawning all over these people and wasting your thought energy and time worrying about their salaries.
Why not take the same time and energy and figure out how to keep your own house, or help a neighbor. When the SHTF, how many of the these hollowwood types are going to stand up? They already hang out with dictators and terrorists, commit crimes, set bad examples, and do drugs, drink, sleep around, etc. Why do you sheeple still worship at their feet?
