Isaiah Washington could be evicted from his residence if he doesn’t pay five months of rent totaling $100,000, according to multiple reports. In a complaint filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Sandalwood Properties alleges that the former Grey’s Anatomy star and his wife, Jenisa, have not been making the $20,000-a-month payments on their Venice home dating back to November. The couple was reportedly served with a "three day notice to pay rent or quit" on March 19. At press time, Washington’s agent hadn’t returned a call from the Associated Press seeking comment.

'RuPaul's Drag Race': LOGO greenlights season 2
LOGO has greenlit a second season of the network’s breakout reality hit, RuPaul’s Drag Race, which is set to air in early 2010. A mash up of America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway, the competition series searches for "America’s Next Drag Superstar" and is hosted by renowned drag queen RuPaul. The first installment of the series was the three-year-old network’s most successful series launch and drove LOGOonline.com to its highest traffic levels ever.
The first season’s finale aired on the ad-supported gay and lesbian network (which is owned by MTV) this past Monday, March 23, and saw Bebe Zahara Benet sashay away with the title. Benet won a headlining spot on the Absolut Pride Tour; a feature photo spread in Paper magazine; a portrait by renowned photographer Greg Gorman for the l.a. Eyeworks legendary designer eyewear campaign; and $20,000. Casting for the second season begins May 1.
'Percy Jackson': Pierce Brosnan and Uma Thurman join the cast
Pierce Brosnan and Uma Thurman will play Greek gods in Percy Jackson, the Fox 2000 adaptation of Rick Riordan’s best-selling children’s series directed by Chris Columbus, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd, and Melina Kanakaredes have also be added to the cast, joining leads Logan Lerman (3:10 to Yuma), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), and Alexandra Daddario. Percy Jackson is an adaptation of the series’ first novel, The Lightning Thief, about a boy (Lerman) who discovers he is the son of Poseidon. Fox is aiming for a February 2010 release. Riordan’s fifth and final book in the series, The Last Olympian, is due in stores in May.
Spandau Ballet announce reunion tour
"True" that: Spandau Ballet, the pop group best known for the early-’80s hit ballad "True," is reuniting for a world tour, band members told reporters in London today. The tour is slated to begin Oct. 13 in Dublin, and the band has not ruled out the possibility of recording new music. Spandau Ballet broke up in 1989 and engaged in a nasty court battle over royalties in 1999. Singer Tony Hadley noted at the press conference that "time is the great healer…. As you can see, we’re back together again and we’re very happy boys."
Jeremy Piven's 'Speed-the-Plow' dispute to be heard by arbitrator
Actors’ Equity and the producers of the Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow have agreed to an arbitration date to settle the much-publicized dispute over Jeremy Piven’s early departure from the play. The matter will be heard by an arbitrator in New York on June 8-9, the play’s producers said in a statement today. Piven, the Emmy-friendly star of Entourage, exited the production in December, 10 weeks early, citing health concerns related to mercury poisoning, which Piven said he got from eating fish. In the statement, the producers noted that they have requested "a wide range of relevant information" from Piven about his "alleged illness," including "medical records and documentation of Mr. Piven’s activities both during and after the run of the show." They also proposed that all information supplied be "subject to a strict confidentiality agreement."
Jeff Foxworthy to host syndicated 'Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?'
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, the Fox game show with the self-explanatory title, will spawn a half-hour syndicated version this fall. Jeff Foxworthy will retain his title as host. The syndicated version has already been cleared in 95 markets, or 80 percent of the country.
Sean Penn, Jim Carrey, and Benicio Del Toro in 'The Three Stooges'?
MGM and the Farrelly brothers have lined up Sean Penn to play Larry in their long-in-the-works movie, The Three Stooges, Variety reports. Jim Carrey is in negotiations to play Curly, a role for which he’d have to gain 40 pounds, and Benicio Del Toro is being eyed for Moe. The planned film is not a biopic; rather, it’s an updated take on the classic Three Stooges productions.
Oscars: Show pushed back two weeks to March 7, 2010
Next year’s Academy Awards ceremony will take place two weeks later on the calendar than this year’s did, according to the AP. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis announced today that the 82nd annual awards telecast is set for March 7, 2010. The last three Oscar ceremonies have taken place in late February.
TLC Cooks Up Buddy Business
Buddy Valestro, a master cake-baker from Hoboken, N.J. whose treats have been featured on The Today Show and The Sopranos, will star in TLC’s new reality series, Cake Boss, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I was born into this business and practically have icing in my blood," Valastro said. "My passion is uniting Old World recipes with modern techniques, and I can’t wait to share what we’re doing with TLC’s audience."
The show’s pilot will air April 19, with the series scheduled to launch in early June.
