America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks announced in a statement that she and the show’s producers are "doing everything we can" to audition "ALL the girls" who were turned away Saturday after the show’s New York City auditions ended in a melee that caused injuries and three arrests. "It is so important to me to…make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to pursue their dream," said Banks in the statement. The 13th cycle of the series is the first time women 5′ 7" and shorter have been allowed to audition for the show.

'Transformers 3' gets release date
Paramount and DreamWorks have slated a third Transformers movie for July 1, 2011, according to Variety. The announcement comes three months before the Transfomers sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, hits theaters on June 24 of this year. Apparently, it does not mean that the threequel is officially greenlit, but only that the studios have staked their claim to the all-important July 4 holiday for the film. There’s no word on whether director Michael Bay or stars Shia LaBeouf or Megan Fox would return for the film.
Bob Dylan: Surprise new album gets name, date, cover art
More details have emerged on the surprise Bob Dylan album the iconic troubadour announced earlier this month. The record, due in stores April 28 via Columbia Records, will be titled Together Through Life. The not-yet-finalized track list is reportedly comprised of the material Dylan created after La Vie en Rose filmmaker Olivier Dahan asked him to contribute a track to his English-language debut film, My Own Love Song, starring Renee Zellweger and Forest Whitaker. Together Through Life’s album cover and other various tidbits are revealed in an interview posted on Dylan’s official site.
President Obama to appear on 'The Tonight Show' on Thursday
President Barack Obama will be a guest on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this Thursday, March 19, to discuss his new economic policy. It will be the first sit-down interview before a live studio audience for Obama since he was elected President in November.
David Chase to develop HBO miniseries about the dawn of Hollywood
Sopranos creator David Chase is set to write and executive produce a new HBO miniseries about the creation of Hollywood, called A Ribbon of Dreams. Chase will also direct several episodes of Dreams, which will focus on two men in 1913 Hollywood who cross paths with a number of legends who shaped the entertainment industry, like D.W. Griffith and John Wayne. The title of the project stems from an Orson Welles quote, "A film is a ribbon of dreams."
Lindsay Lohan arrest warrant dismissed
A Beverly Hills judge has dismissed the arrest warrant for Lindsay Lohan, stemming from her 2007 DUI, according to People.com. On Monday, the actress’ attorney produced evidence that the star had been continuing with her alcohol education classes. Said Lohan lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley: "This was all much to do about nothing. [Lohan] has satisfied all the conditions of her probation, and I have every expectation that she’ll successfully complete those terms."
Don Imus says he has prostate cancer
Radio personality Don Imus announced on his radio show this morning that he has been diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer . (You can listen to the entire audio file below.) The 68-year-old broadcaster said during his "Imus in the Morning" program that he was sure his doctors would help him beat the disease, but offered no other details about his prognosis. "The day you find out is fine," he said. "But the next morning when you get up, your knees are shaking.I didn’t think I could make it to work." After the show aired, his spokesperson said Imus appreciates his fans’ outpouring of good wishes: "After years at the Imus Ranch surrounded by inspirational children battling cancer, Don is well-prepared to fight this," his spokesperson said, referring to Imus’ charity program. "And no, this does not make him eligible for the kids’ rodeo competition." ABC Radio Networks President Jim Robinson, meanwhile, expressed his support in a statement: "I know he is optimistic and has a great deal of confidence in his doctors, who are providing excellent treatment. We know that as he faces this challenge he will emerge successful as he has throughout his life and career."

'Race to Witch Mountain' director races to another project
On the heels of a very successful opening weekend for Race To Witch Mountain, Walt Disney Studios has inked a deal with Mountain helmer Andy Fickman to direct Monster Attack Network, according to Variety. The adaptation is based on a 2007 AIT/Planet Lar graphic novel, about a team of first-responders who guard the citizens of a Pacific island that’s frequently attacked by giant sea monsters. The graphic novel was written by EW’s Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman, and illustrated by Nima Sorat. "We’re thrilled at the news," Bernardin tells EW.com. "The fact that Disney gave our book to one of their rising starsmeans that they’re serious about making it the ginormousmonster-attacking spectacle we always hoped it would be. Plus, it meansthey might actually make Monster Attack Network toys…which would justtickle me breathless."
'Watchmen' writer forms production company
David Hayter, who co-wrote Watchmen with Alex Tse, has formed Dark Hero Studios with producer Benedict Carver (Doomsday). The company will focus on creating film, TV,Internet and videogame projects in the action, sci-fi and horror fields. "Many people would love to have the studio-based producer gig, but ifyou want to build asset value through a library, you have to be moreentrepreneurial and avoid giving away a lot of rights upfront," Carver told Variety. Dark Hero’s slate begins with Demonology, a flick Hayter penned — and will direct — based on his experience going to an international high school in Japan.
Horror flick 'I Walked With a Zombie' to be remade
Director Adam Marcus (Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday) will bring the 1943 RKO’s Roseblood Movie Co. classic I Walked With a Zombie back from the dead, according to Variety. The film, which will center on a family tutor who discovers asecret while working at the historic home of a New Orleansbusinessman, will be overseen by Andy Fickman, who recently signed a deal with RKO and Twisted Pictures to also bring three other horror remakes back to the big screen — 1945′s The Body Snatcher, 1946′s Bedlam, and 1939′s Five Came Back.
