Read the Star Trek Countdown (prequel) comic series. There’s a wonderful treat for all us TNG fans…it’s even better than Sunday’s Family Guy episode :P

    Jumping the shark are we?

Anyone pining away for a DS9 movie should stop; that franchise was a stagnate quagmire.

    J. – Of course there will be no DS9 movie. Still, DS9 was the best of the five series. The highly-serialized, tightly-woven story arc made for some excellent entertainment.

I’ve finished eating my souvlakis and I will be ready to walk to the theatre in a month for this great movie. NOT.

To the haters and the uninformed a ‘reboot’ means a re-imagining of a film and/or series. If you’re going into the film expecting a sequel to the last Star Trek film (what was it, Star Trek XXXI?) then perhaps this isn’t for you. Personally, I’m not a Trekkie or even a Star Trek fan but the trailer looked stellar and, as a fan of Abrams, I’ll definitely drop $10 to see this film… although probably on Cheap Ticket Tuesday. So that’s like, $7.50 CDN. It’s been filmed, it’s coming out in just over a month, if you don’t like it, don’t go! End of transmission.

The Star Trek sequel is already a go? Wow! The new movie must be out of this world good!!! May 8th can’t get here soon enough.

I’m not a trekkie, but my mom is (she watched the first series when it aired) and SHE is excited about this movie. I was going to take her to go see is (by being nice) but the truth is that I really want to see it because this movie looks AWESOME!!!! So I’m not surprised the sequal’s a go because Trekkies world wide will see this movie and the next simply because it is Star Trek, the non Trekkies will see it because this looks like a good movie

Trekkies threw huge hissy fits when “The Next Generation” was announced too, if you remember. “IT’S NOT TREK WITHOUT KIRK AND SPOCK!!! ARRRGGH!! I HATE THESE NEW PEOPLE!!!”
It’s the same thing today. Trekkies are terrified of anything new, which is sort of ironic considering their hobby. And don’t you love how they’ve all made up their minds about this movie, based on a two-minute trailer? Pretty open-minded people, huh. Again, how ironic.
